Hi,

I bought new brake lines ( Venhill ) for my SV650S 2001 . The rear one was absolutely perfect . I went to do the front and noticed the line is much longer. I have been told this is definitely for my bike , am I being stupid here ?

I’ve tried everything to upload images here but it’s not working! Here are links

Are you posive they've not supplied you one for the the sv650x or N which are naked and presumably have higher bars so a longer line?

I don't recall the stock setup, your new line will go from mastercylinder to caliper - did your old one or did it go to a splitter somewhere on the front of the bike?

Thanks for reply.

On the Venhill packaging it does state Suzuki SV650S 1999-2002 . My brake lines go up and into the splitter like you say.

Right, then Venhill should have sent you two of those lines and a long double banjo bolt for the mastercylinder (unless you've switched to single rotor). You just put both into the mastercylinder side by side and one line routed carefully to each caliper.

Or if you've been done a bit you can run to one caliper and buy a cheap short one to run from one caliper to the other but you'll need different banjos foreach caliper and I can;t imagine it's worth it.

You’ve cracked it! They did indeed send a double banjo! Cheers mate! :)

Make sure you renew the copper washers and put one separating the hoses where they double up.
so: |0|0|

otherwise just one either side at the caliper.
