Tail - lights weren't working, found problem and rejoined the seperated connector. Now the old girl won't start....turning over and fuel system seems to be priming when i switch her on but nothing more. Can't smell petrol so suspect a fuel problem ?
Checked fuses and they're ok but after that I'm lost.
Bike is a K3 fuel injected.
Any simple advice for a novice would be really appreciated peeps.....otherwise does anyone know a decent mechanic in the Wolverhampton area ??

Did it fail straight after you fixed the tail light? If so you may have disturbed something or the wires you joined were wrong.Try disconnecting tail light again and starting from scratch.

there is a sensor in the back end to turn the fuel pump off when you crash if you have disturbed that it will not start,
Is there any messages up on your display?

Mmmm that sounds interesting. There is an 'FI' appear on the dash when I first turn on but that disappears after the bike has 'primed'

How can I check the sensor...whats it look like ?

Cheers v.much

Its a little black box held in a rubber clip it would have to be hanging off for this to cause the problem
When i fitted an Alloy subframe to my race my bike my m8 put it in upside down it took me ages to find out the problem. well actually somebody else found out what it was.

Would this cause the spark plugs to fail ?

how about the battery or killswitch, basic but it happens

I think the little black rubber box is the tilt sensor.. ie if your bike goes over it kills the power to the coil. if it has a bad connection then it could be the why your bike isn't starting.

sorry, no idea about your non start problem.

RWR's sign off is a classic "Life's a bitch and i aint through with her yet"

just thought i'd acknowledge it.

good luck sorting the problem,
