Total Distance start - finish 86 miles

From here, I'm not going to make plans, as people will most likely want to disperse either home or for further riding (which is likely to include me) but this can be your own plans.

As a route back to Oakdene may be needed by some:

A2 to Canterbury - A28 to M20 - exit Jct 3- M26- first juct (go under motorway) A20 to Oakdene.

PLEASE CAN EVERYONE FILL UP AT THE OAKDENE FILLING STATION, SO WE DON'T HAVE TO STOP LOADS OF TIMES FOR SEPERATE REFUELLING, TA!

Also if everyone can make sure they keep the bike behind in their mirrors, and if you can't see them, slow down or stop at the next junction (thanks to Rictus for the idea)

Can I please have names of people who are coming so I can get a list going?

Have Hall13UK and Viney willing to cover tail end and hopefully pick up stragglers

I will take phone numbers etc closer to the time.

Cheers, Jake

Just to clear this up.

I will be the back marker, the purpose of which on a rideout like this, is to round up the people that maybe lost etc, and to make them part of the rideout when the faster riders all bugger off (Yes it does happen) It also means that when the front riders stop, they know who the last person is, so that they dont leave anyone behind. On the last rideout, we had Coolgirl in the car!!! I have no issues with being at the back, as i want everyone to have a good ssafe ride, and it always upsets me when we loose people. The people at the back, so to speak, in front of me, can ride however they want.

However, if people follow the 'no one in your mirrors at junctions, then wait rule' this shouldnt be to much of a problem. This although may be a bit tediuos, works very very well, and can make or break a rideout. I know that sometimes it can mean waiting around for another marker to appear, but then you can play catch up, which is fun

On all rideouts (For thoses that havent been on many) you ride at your own pace. They are not a race to the end, you are not required to keep up with the one in front etc, they are a group of likeminded riders that just want to go for a ride and as a whole, are very enjoyable.

Now, Jake has set this ride up and its his 1st time running a .org rideout, and the best of luck to him. Now no more squabbling about whos at the back ok ;)

I don't mind being at the back either, or working as a shephard, I have lived in the area for 20 years so I know nearly all of kent, Remember the 1st Selkent rideout to Rye, were they really roads  .
My bike has got to stay below 4,000 revs anyway, so I won't be hacking it along!!!!
and I can take pillions

Just to confirm, Viney is backmarker, SexySi if you want to shephard you're welcome to. Everyone take the 'rider in your mirrors at junctions' approach, if there's no-one there then wait for them. If this means holding up other vehicles, move to a safer place. Cheers!

Although I've never been in the Oakdene, I've past it plenty of times. So, if anyone who is unsure of where it is and wants to meet up in the Gravesend area beforehand we can take a leisurely ride through Meopham, Culverstone before arriving in Wrotham.

Let me know.

If we leave Bexleyheath between 9:15-9:30 then we can get down to the Oakdene for say 9:45-9:50 and have some greaseeeeeeee breakfast.

Me mobile is 07956661913 if anyone is running late

Weather is looking very dodgy, if it is wet, I won't be there. But if reasonably dry, should see you sometime during the morning.

Great. So if some people do ride in the wet, you are not going to be there guide them. You havent got the hang of a Selkent rideout have you ;)

Seriously, you should make it clear, that if its raining, then it aint on.
