Led Flasher Relay.
Details

If you've customised your bike with LED indicator lamps then the chances are they flash too fast to pass the MOT. Simply fit this wide range flasher relay and guarantee the correct flash rate whatever indicators are fitted.

u jsut need a resistor on each indicator not sure what ohm it is should think itl go on the positve you could jsut buy a bunch and find out which one works better i wouldnt bother with the indicator its like £30 for a resistor that costs Pence.... some one much know the corect one

They look like motrax tinycators they use a 12v 6w bulb they're not LED

any idea why they would be flashing fast?

any idea why they would be flashing fast?

I think it may be cos the bulbs are only 6w whereas i think most indies are 10 or 21w so if i'm right that would mean there is not as much load on the indies so it's like having a bulb out

Kwak, those are the Eagle eye range are they not?! Very nice I must say, but too pricey for my thin wallet! They run 12v bulbs iirc, but they flash fast due to resistance/current changes from stock part caused by lower power output on these bulbs.

I fitted a resistor of 25w and 10 ohms resistance on mine. These are the metal bodied 'power resistor' range, not the cheaper ceramic/plasticky type! Bought from RS. Maplins do sell them, but I think they only go up to 15w or something if memory serves me correctly.

Please read this thread, as it explains things better than me!

If you like the indies and want them to flash at the right rate then yeah i'd say it was worth it.

if it passed the MOT why not leave them as they are?

Maybe cos kwak doesn't like them flashing that fast ?

maybe he will get used to it

Maybe he'll just spend 10 minutes soldering some resistors in?

i had the same problem, 8W bulb in my mini indicators, i just bought new bulbs (from Infinity).

what wattage was your new bulbs you put in?

21W, like the big original bulbs. Cost me £3/bulb though, but they were orange painted too - you've got orange lenses so 21W clear bulbs are probably cheaper. On another mini indicator thread i posted on (when I got mine), someone ordered clear ones online I think - search my posts and you'll find it. They were a lot cheaper iirc.

Btw, what's happening with your claim? i keep seeing random posts (of yours) about it and i can't work out if you are still claiming or it has been rejected!

as far as the clam goes its in the hands of the insurance companys and the solicitors now so who knows? i'm just in that waiting period where no one wants to pay out

so do you know where i can buy these bulbs? where did you get yours from?

cheers

i got mine from infinity motorcycles in clapham (i know they have other branches but not sure where). but if you're not near there...i was bored and searched my posts...it was this thread http://forums.sv650.org/viewtopic.php?t=46012&highlight= you can see northy bought 21W clear bulbs for buell indicators from M&P...so that may be what you want.

How bright are those compared to OE?, what's the side viewing angle like? I like the way my bike indicators are visible from fully side on.

 dunno because the bike is new to me really but you have a good point.

OK so ive found out they are halogen 6w bulbs and all the bike shops i ring are saying stay with halogen and replace the relay, this costs £14.99.
