Checking both the Met office and BBC weather sites I think thermals will be the order of the day. At least the snow isn't due until overnight on Sunday...............phew!:D

No, I've not had a chance to work out a route but don't think it will be difficult - will sort it out sunday morning - I'm normally up and about at 6am so will have plenty of time then! lol

Does look like it will be a bit chilly! Good job I've got my heated grips fitted.....I will at least have warm hands! lol

It is with great sadness that i have to tell you that i will not be able to join u guys on sunday afternoon.

My mom is coming to stay with me for the weekend, and expects to be taken out for sunday lunch. I don't have the balls to book a table at the malting, and spend the whole time talking to you lot - but i was tempted.

Anyway, have a great time everybody, and i hope its not too long before we can get another meet organised - i was soo looking forward to it.

If all goes to plan I'm hoping we can all get together every month so maybe see you next time! If you want to go for a play inbetween meets let me know - Ely is only an hour from me - we could meet half way!

Just had a look at routes to Hunstanton, I think the one Lissa suggested looks best - A10, A1122, A1065, A148 and B1454. If I'm leading expect to get lost somewhere! lol

A rideout isn't a rideout without getting lost at least once;)

Does anyone mind if our mate Rich comes along on his TL?

IF he can get up in time, that is:D

minifun

That would be cool. I could meet ya on the 40 foot ditch thingy. Thats about half way and a great place for testing out your bikes top speed - unless they finanly got round to installing a speed camera.

Aw, that's a shame Supervox, would have been nice to see you again:(

It looks like we'll be lucky. The forecast for Ely and Hunstanton is chiily but sunny. That'll do me:D

Well, my car's still ****ing oil like an incontinent geriatric, so I guess my Sunday will be spent in the garage with a bucket load of engine cleaner - the result will hopefully be a sparkley clean...

... (OK, so the car's 20 yrs old!) ...

... remotely clean engine - which I can then fill with oil and see where it's springing a leak. :(

Have fun and I hope it's just a it of wind you have to contend with. (It's sunny but a bit blustery here by the way.)

Catch you at the next one as I'm intending on taxing the bike for April anyway. Let us know how it goes.

Good to meet everyone today!

Shame it was so windy, would have enjoyed the ride more with less wind - me and the bike were being blown all over the place! Little bit of sleet in Hunstanton too, bit chilly but a good day!

Cheers peeps, hopefully we can meet again next month. Was The Maltings good for everyone as a meeting place?

You guys should have stayed in ely. Its been sunny here all day - just about to start peeing down now.

i drove past the malting at about 1-30 to see if u guys were still there, but there was not an sv to be seen - just a lone gixer with its owner feeding the ducks.

sounds like mini fun had a good time - hope the rest of u did too.

i'll defo be up the next meet.

Just got home.

Sleet, snow, hail, rain, freezing cold.....................had it all on the way back!

Apart from that, we had a great time.:D

Just spoken to Rich, and he's fine and laughing about it :) I reckon he did it on purpose just to escape the weather;)

What a fun day out. Yep the weather was a tad windy:smt103 and it did snow on the way back, but overall well worth getting out of bed for.

The Maltings was good as it was signposted as you entered Ely and the location, especially in the summer, was very nice.

Minifun did a good job of leading the group..............once she'd got us out of Ely that is :smt075

Pic taken at Sunny (!!!) Hunny. Don't be fooled by the apparent sunshine.........it was freezing. Sadly Pegasus and Supervox had left by the time the pic was taken. And yep the big Kwak was with us too.

Heh heh, everyone does seem to be standing in that kinda hunched 'got all the kit on but I'm still cold' stance. Kudos to you guys for braving the chill...

... though the sea looks a little rough - so I guess there was no paddling going on! ;)
That route has the advantage of avoiding Kings Lynn

We don't know these roads, so maybe a local member can advise.
I wish I could avoid King's Lynn, but I live here......but my SV maked things all better.

If anyone is coming by in the future give us a shout.

I think there was a meetup this bankholiday weekend just gone, so i'm guessing there won't be an EA thing for another month? I hope to get along to the next one and show my face having recently joined the org.
