It must be the thing to do in Wales. I do that a lot too, just normally I don't have the camera. Oh, and the car park has spaces
Though, in fairness, it's damned hard to park illegally in North Wales. Both Gwynedd & Denbighshire councils don't want you to pay for parking a bike in Pay & Display car parks (I've asked traffic wardens).

How would the VTR or even a TL1000 be as a step up from the good ole SV? Not that I'm going to be for a while yet, but is definitely on the list...

Depends if it was to do something unrelated to emergencies. I'm unsure how it stands for say parking under a bridge to change into rain gear, which I have done a few times. Possibly naughty.
Mind you, keep safe, folks the hard shoulder's a dangerous place.
The other plus of this thread is its trawling up a few scenic pics, but mainly truely mediocre pictures

What a brilliant thread. I've never thought of this concept - ie the taking of photo's of what you can get away with on a bike. I'll have to start.
I had a look through my photo's of my 6 weeks of SV ownership and found a few bit's 'n' bobs though I admit they are lame compared to some of those on here. Really it's just gratuitous posting of pics of my baby.
