im trying to start the sv its carburated.... but all it does is cranks..it seems to have enough battery power to start cuz the headlight is pretty bright...

i have tried to increase the fuel on the choke...and have also tried to give it gas as i crank... do you thinnk i have flooded the spark plug?...

is there anything else i can try..its a beautiful saturday i would hate to drive my cage or car today :)

ROFL..Im not that ****ing much of a newb..i at least completed the MSF course..

any other suggestions?

the light switch is on the left here in the states...


i got it to work ..i guess you just gotta let it sit...

yeah i guess so... but.. i dont understand..when i havent started my bike in like a week.. should i put the choke on max ???... or should i leave it on 'lean'...

Depends mine wont start with the choke on (same model as yours) but wont run unless you let it run with a bit of choke after she's started

I find most carbs of this type will start fine using choke but NO THROTTLE. If you use the throttle at all with the choke on, it'll refuse to start often as not.

If mine is "cold" I use full choke and no throttle, then back off the choke as much as possible as soon as possible, ride off gently straight away and it will run fine on no choke after only 50yds or so.

If it is warm at all, say it's run in the last 5hrs or so, then no choke is required, just a touch of throttle to keep the idle speed up.
