Invitations sent out, apologies to those who were on the last trip but don't have a PM. It's a S&WS bash.
Hi Xan,
Not sure if I qualified, but I didn't receive a PM re this
Any idea where we should look for a B&B nearby?

I think Xan's on holiday at the moment so might be worth PMing him in case he doesn't see your post.
Xan did mention at the Taffia meet last week that there was a small B&B next to the bunk housewhich costs £25pppn (I think). No idea the exact location of it though, Biker Billy might know though.

Offer my place up for grabs. I'll meet ya all for the ride-out and have a bit of a social after but wont stay, that way someone else may get the chance to go (I only live 30 mins down the road anyway!). Cheers for the invite though. :-)

Alex and I have been chatting about the booze situation for fartfest. and I think that this subject may have come up on Thursday.
We have checked out that there is a Tesco near the farm that will deliver, so if everyone is up for it I am more than happy to make the order online for delivery on Friday evening. I have also got shed loads of clubcard vouchers to use etc.
So, really, if everyone thinks its a good idea, then we need to decide on the amount I reckon somewhere in the region of £10-12 per person). Plus we need to decide what is going to bought, I guess I can do a poll (yay) and have beer (bitter), Lager, Wine etc etc and then I will buy in proportion as to the amount of votes cast for each etc.
Or the other alternative would be for everyone to choose exactly how they want their kitty money spending, still happy to bulk order, but you will need to ensure that you have not overspent etc.
What are your thoughts ???
i dont think, i do as i'm told
lager for me (miller if poss) & more than last time;)

Nice site, however in the list of attendees I appear to have gained an extra L in my name. Not to worry, I shall take this extra L and auction it off to the highest bidder...
Have you ever wanted an L in your name but have been to afraid to ask? Well fear not I have one and its waiting for you. Why not try it out first and see how it fits, tired of the standard Sarah? Why not become Sarahl? It does not even have to be at the end of you name the L comes in both upper and lower case and can be fitted in anywhere within your name, for example Mac99 can become MacL99. For the extravagant among us why stop at just two L's when three are better, Jamessunhilll you know it makes sense. So roll up roll up let the bidding commence!

Also, there are a couple of empty bunks, if these don't get filled I'll need another couple of quid on top to cover costs.

Good idea. If this is the way we're gonna go, I'll deposit £32 in Alex's account.
Billy is supposed to be sorting out nosh for the Friday night.
For breakfast on Saturday morning I suggest we go to the start point for the rideout which is Sourton Cross, there's a Little Chef and also a Petrol Station.
So we need a bit of breakfast on Sunday (can anyone stomach Little Chef two days in a row?) and to decide about Saturday evenings food - we can either go to a local pub or order take away if we can find somewhere that will deliver.
Not as organised as before, I know, but I've not had a chance to do a recce.
Local foodie pub is here (http://www.theharrisarms.co.uk/index.asp)
It's about a mile from where we're staying though....
phil24_7
11-09-07, 08:03 PM
That pub looks spot on for food on the Saturday night. A mile isn't too far to trek if you all wanted to get toasted at the pub either!

attention !!
Right, OK I hope I have it now. Good.
I will be doing a tesco online delivery purchase on Monday night, for delivery on the Friday night (don't know what time yet - so please don't ask.) If you want booze, food, printers, cds or anything else that the wonderful store sells, to be delivered along with my order, please send me a private message. I will expect the following information:
1. Full details of your order (not just "beer") including quantity and brand.
2. How much money you will be transferring
Please send the funds to Xan's account, you should all have the details, the funds must be received prior to the order being made. If the funds do not reach the account by close of business on Tuesday I will not make your order for you.
As soon as the order is completed I will PM you to confirm that your order has been succesful and advise what time the delivery will be. If your desired choice should not be available I will allow Tesco to substitute the items requested.
Well I think thats it.
:drink:
By the way, it takes 3 days for transferred funds to clear. If you want to place an order make sure you choose and pay tonight or at the latest, tomorrow!
Oh, and thanks to Vix for doing this :) :) :)
so we are all getting our own indevidual food?
Vickster
11-09-07, 08:45 PM
Nope.
I've emailled the owner to find out if there are any take aways that will deliver. Failing that we can fall back on the pub.
If you want anything else (dog food or nappies Hovis) then order it.
The main objective of the Tesco's run is to avoid a booze run as the nearest supermarkets are in Plymouth.
whats for breakfast, mum?
phil24_7
11-09-07, 09:56 PM
Launcestons got a small supermarket and a spar (bet they've also got some shops that'll sell alcohol in brown paper bags after their license runs out!) for emergencies but think the reputable retailers are shut by 10!
any leaving/meeting times sorted? i was thinking of leaving about 2pm?
Bellerophon is dropping out guys, so that means there's only 11 in the bunkouse now. Net result is that the cost of accom will be going up from £12 to £15.50 - unless you guys can drum up some interest in the spare places!!!!
By the way. Vix has booked the Tesco delivery for between 16:00-18:00 on the Friday evening. She can amend the order up to Monday so get your orders in unless you want to bring your own stuff.

Um, you rode right past it on Saturday on your way to the Dorset Doodle, Vix saw you!!!
It's the BIGGEST bike dealership in Bristol (http://www.fowlers.co.uk/map.html), on the corner of the big roundabout that spans the river. Near to Temple Meads Train Station.
