Went to the isle of man on saturday, spent a few days blasting round the southern 100 and the TT without incident, great fun...
Got the ferry back, through lots of scouser traffic, over the M62 to Halifax, came down the off ramp and slid the front end out on a cattle grid. :(
Luckily had full leathers on armored up to the max so I'm completely uninjured.
Unluckily I now need a set of handlebars, a radiator, both brake levers, indicators, mirrors and probably some other bits!
Chris
P.s always wear yer ferkin leathers!
(pics to follow for you all to laugh at)
Hey Chris
OH NOOOOOOOOO. You were doing so well. Thankfully, you're not injured.:D:D:D:D
Hope you get the bike sorted soon.

Dude, sorry to hear about your off. I've been in the replacing parts camp for the last week or so too.
GWS to you and the bike!

Aye, damage not too serious but at £125 and counting! Eeeep!
Need to find a front plate for an oval can to save money on getting mine mended! (going to make a stubby one if I can find the part...)

Nice to hear you're okay, it's a good feeling to stand up afterwards and realise that all that armour and leather really does work.
Hope you get it back on the road soon.
Good to hear you are okay fella.

There's some pictures on there of the damage to bike and kit, my knee would have done far worse without the leathers even if they only show a few small scratches and rubs.

Bugger! Glad you Ok mate. Bike don't look too bad and is fixable. :D If you gonna have an off, this is the kind to have! :jocolor:
Looks nasty, good luck getting sorted. It's actually reminded me to get my crash posts fitted though.
P.S. Are they Frank Thomas trousers? They look exactly like mine (including the scars :()

Nah belstaff ones, they faired alright, got away with a graze on the knee under where the stitching came away slightly.

I agree, at least you're ok and besides, minor body problems heel for free :)
The only thing that looks cringe worthy is the tank.
Ohhh bugger. Glad your OK though.
I have to cross two cattle grids on the way to and from work and they are both on bends. People really really don't think about motorcyclists when developing a road.

The tanks fooked but fuel-tight, could have been worse i.e fireball!
I'm a little sore today like.
Was going to get some R&Gs too ... (some phrase involving a horse and a stable door comes to mind)

Just had another look at my leathers, and it appears to me that even in this little spill, without them my kneecap would have been grazed down to the bone.
Never going out without some on again!
Chris
