I got home from the usual Soho meet to see 3 spotty oiks walking down my quiet culdesac. When they heard the bike coming they all looked round and saw me looking back at them!
Being the nosey bu99er that I am I got off the bike and walked out into the road to see what they were up to. Mmmmm they were walking back towards me!
They walked past me back towards the main road, one of them carrying a Trek mountain bike which had locks on the front and rear wheels.
"Oi! Is that your bike?" I gently enquired. :smt013
"Yeah!" said the spotty yoof! :smt083
"Let's see if it is still yours when I call the police." I politely replied reaching for my phone whilst following them down the road. :smt065
Spotty oafs legged it, grabbed two more bikes from the bushes and disappeared round the corner. :smt013
Not being the fittest guy on earth I didn't bother chasing and spoke to the cops.
I then decided to go and look for the spotty herberts on the bike. But being slippery little s*its they'd bu99ered off.
Nowhere to be seen. I had a quick nose about in the bushes for the bike, no sign.
"Ahhhh" I think "Lets check the river by the wooden bridge!"
Sure enough there's the bike. I must have made the spotty sh*ts realise that they'd been rumbled and they'd chucked the bike in.
Cops arrive on the scene! We scratch our heads wondering how to get the bike out of the river. 12' drop and steep banks. :smt017
"Have you got a rope?" Asks clever me!
"Yep."
"Well I'll tie one of my bungees to it, lower it down and snag one of the spokes!"
"Ok"
Got it first time!!! And hauled the bike up the 12' to the bridge top!
Mountain bikes are heavy when wet!!
Got mucho thanks from the :plod: (one of whom has a 2004 Blade that he highsided at Cadwell! £1500 damage! #-oAnd has heard of the Mighty .org!) and went home feeling good!
No doubt the above mentioned little to**ers will probably try and steal my bike later tonight!
Still, I feel good. Someone will get their property back and will learn to lock it to something next time!
That is all!!
