Yep, take them back mate for a full refund. If they fall apart by just looking at them, imagine how they would perform in a crash

"not fit for purpose" is the Sale of Goods Act line, I seem to recall. Might add some legal weight to your discussion, if they don't want to refund you.

yeah says designed in Britain inside, just about sums it all up

It's NOTHING to do with being designed in Britain.
It's ALL about being made in China. By people who are so underpaid that it's effectively slavery. By people who would get a whipping if they complained.

TBH, I'm not much of a fan of the RST range either. Mr Wolf had a one-piece suit for racing in - one off at 85mph and the seams burst completely all down the right side. He was lucky to get away with a small amount of road rash along his hip. I wouldn't go for anything else by them after seeing that.

hmm well when i get car sorted i will take it all back and get refund then look for something else, so what decent leathers can i get for £300
Yes, Pete bought RST leathers and gloves a couple of years ago. The gloves fell apart after less than two months, the leathers started to give way after around six months.
He now has Dainese leathers he bought off e bay for around a third of the price of the RST ones. He wouldn't touch RST again even if they were free.

i have an RST textile jacket, a mate gave it too me, its years old, but its actually alright, fairly waterproof, odd leak in heavy rain but apart from that its fine.
as for leathers, go to a hien gericke store, i got a 2 piece suit of thier own brand leathers, the PSX track 3 range, cost me £380, but well made and comfortable with good armour.go have a look i know they have cheaper suits, that are pretty good.
Hein Gericke have a sale on, running till end of the month.:smt026:smt026:smt026:smt026
Go and grab a bargain.

for budget leathers i would go for hein gericke, i got my 2 piece for 360 and i had to get some of the more expensive trousers as my legs are oddly proportioned. The quality is a lot better than some of the other cheep leathers i tried on and im well pleased with them.

Stay well clear of Frank Thomas!
An old biker saying:
"There is only one thing that can be seen more clearly from space than the Great Wall of China - Frank Thomas' returns pile!" (I thank you EoE)
Brought a pair of FT Titanium jeans that ripped and the seams fell apart!
I have an IXON Leather Fearless leather jacket that's fantastic (£240ish), and have just spent £380ish at Hideout on a pair of leather jean (incorporating the zip from the IXON Jacket), and knee sliders!
I know it's one hell of a wad to spend, but I liken it to an advert for a certain credit card:
Jacket £240
Trouser £380
Boots £400
Life £priceless
Just a thought like.....
