Charting your BBT is a good way to confirm ovulation and detect any problems w/ low progesterone and/or short luteal phase. It's not good for predicting ovulation or telling you when you have fertile cervical fluid.

There can be many reasons why conception can be delayed or which cause difficulty w/ carrying a pregnancy. And many can be detected by charting and treated at home.

I highly recommend charting at least your cervical fluid in addition to BBT. Once you have a couple of cycles charted, you can better see what may be causing difficulty for you, if you can self-treat, or if you need a doctor's assistance.
