Re: K5 - Alternatives to stock oil cooler hoses?
I would be more worried about that other oil line than a crusty bellypan bracket (Mine were like that so I had them blasted and powdercoated, because im a tart and he only charged a fiver)

Re: K5 - Alternatives to stock oil cooler hoses?
I`ll change the other line out of necessity as a preventive maintenance thing . The line I took off was very corroded in comparison to that one , we are talking dark brown flakes that were about 1mm thick , not a good sign when another layer underneath that one falls off as well ...... pinholes appear and under slight pressure it will cause the leak that I was getting .

Re: K5 - Alternatives to stock oil cooler hoses?
That is a good looking hose Badger! I think Goodridge are planning to supply matching new bolts as well as just hose. I don't know how stiff the new hose will be - Anyone reckon it will need a clamp to join the two where they separate?

Re: K5 - Alternatives to stock oil cooler hoses?
There is no movement in the hose , the guy just measured it up , lined up the Banjos in relation and then crimped it all together so it has to be pretty bob-on , there is very limited movement for getting the bolts lined up squarely , I had a bit of a faff getting them in as I didn`t want to strip any threads by being in a rush . The hose that was used was a very high temperature one as well , able to withstand 600 degrees , as I did mention it was close to an exhaust as well .

Re: K5 - Alternatives to stock oil cooler hoses?
Thanks, that's useful to know. Goodridge wouldn't do it by measuring on the bike so I'm getting them a complete set with bolts so that can do CAD drawings. Bit of a faff too but I'm not in a hurry. Should end up as a retail pack with bolts and copper washers. I must ask them the cost and if they can do the coloured covering like the brake hose!

Don`t forget that the Anodised Colouring will be on Alloy Banjo fittings , They will also offer Stainless ones
