A switch on the linkage and a timer circuit to interrupt the ignition for a set time.

In practice, toe up the gear lever, it changes gear. Pretty much seamless, like an auto box.

The gear change will be hand operated, where can I get a quick shifter? Would it just be a microswitch with earths the spark for a very short period of time?

Have a goo at the PowerCommander website to see whats possible.
Bazzaz is another croud that make the quickshifters I think. these are others available too but not sure what fits the SV. Have only seen a PowerCommander one fitted.

Kart isn't yet a rolling chassis lol im getting all the info together first, just working out what I need so that I can have enough space and work out all of the issues before I come to them.
