Re: No clock illumination on 2000 curvy.
I'm always a bit wary of the LED ones, I've heard horror stories...
...but if you've used them and they've been good I'd appreciate a link :) |

What sort of horror stories have you heard? These are my curvey clocks with green LED bulbs in the pic is a bit rubbish as it was taken on my phone http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x...8/greenLED.jpg I put them in about 4/5 years ago (bikes not been used in the last 18 months) and theyre still going strong! I normally get my LED bulbs from ultraleds, heres a link to the 286 LEDs http://www.ultraleds.co.uk/286-5mm-c-101_128.html |

Given your 4/5 years of uninterrupted service I shall give them a go :) Cheers for the link |
Re: No clock illumination on 2000 curvy.
LEDs don't tend to get hot though so cant see how they wouldve overheated.
Also been running LEDs in the Raptors clocks for a couple of years with no ill effects |
Re: No clock illumination on 2000 curvy.
I think it was probably more along the lines of other things in the area being too hot and melting the plastic of the LEDs
|
Re: No clock illumination on 2000 curvy.
Ah right I see what you mean. I shouldnt think there's anything thats close enough to the LEDs that's goingto get hot enough to melt them.
|
Re: No clock illumination on 2000 curvy.
Well, more bulbs have blown on my clocks I think so I'm going to get some LED ones.
How many do I need if I replace all of them? |
