I'm always a bit wary of the LED ones, I've heard horror stories...

...but if you've used them and they've been good I'd appreciate a link :)

What sort of horror stories have you heard?

These are my curvey clocks with green LED bulbs in the pic is a bit rubbish as it was taken on my phone

I put them in about 4/5 years ago (bikes not been used in the last 18 months) and theyre still going strong!

I normally get my LED bulbs from ultraleds, heres a link to the 286 LEDs

Overheating/melting etc. but it was 'oo, my mate put them in and it knackered his clocks' without any real evidence to back it up haha.
Given your 4/5 years of uninterrupted service I shall give them a go :) Cheers for the link

LEDs don't tend to get hot though so cant see how they wouldve overheated.

Also been running LEDs in the Raptors clocks for a couple of years with no ill effects

I think it was probably more along the lines of other things in the area being too hot and melting the plastic of the LEDs

Ah right I see what you mean. I shouldnt think there's anything thats close enough to the LEDs that's goingto get hot enough to melt them.

Well, more bulbs have blown on my clocks I think so I'm going to get some LED ones.

How many do I need if I replace all of them?
