i took a ZX10R round the block the other day (private road of course)..wow that bike is good to ride.
I jumped on it and within 2 minutes i felt like i had been riding it for years, i immediatly felt at home on it. It was sureal And power! i have never felt anything like it!!! http://homepage.ntlworld.com/paul.young67/ZX-10R.jpg Look at the link, its just an image of the bike i rode (image is too big to paste using [img][/img] SPeeeeDY |
Ducati 748R. Mate Karl owns one. It is mental. Being a founder member of the Grannies and Geriatrics MCC, I was way too chicken to put it through its paces - or anything like - it's the ease of power delivery that's scary, well for me anyway, 85 without realising. I never got it out of 3rd.

would have to be the RSV MILLE i rode, didnt like the strange feeling the steering gave when slow speed manouvering, but otherwise a good bike
|
definately my mates full power v-max absolutely electrifying on the straight have not seen a bike yet that can match it from a standing start
|
I've riden a 996 but the power on that just seemed lazy, but quick none the less.
Also ridden ZRX1100, pretty nippy. Been the back of a ZZR1100 with Flat-side carbs, boy that thing pulled. 160+mph scenerywas just a blur out of the side of my eyes. . |
Re: Most powerful?

Its all the weight behind it that makes it do it I think, must be lead in the frame :P but my dad and his mate whose had a go on it too says it does it. Has this slithering effect when accelerating hard through the gears. Put it down to the frame and the swingarm straining under the torque Oh and am I strange for wanting a go on a Vmax now!? |
My GSXR7/11 punted out about 122BHP on the rear wheel. Those 1985 slabby 750 frames behave a bit funny under full acceleration

Gixxer thou for me... powereful as hell... just too much on the insurance, so i opted for te 750...

For me personally, the scariest bike I've ever ridden is also the most powerful and was a Triumph Sprint ST (955cc triple @ 118bhp). Jesus - I didn't dare accelerate as fast as it could have done and I just could NOT corner the thing it weighed a ton. Felt like it would have low-sided if I'd tipped it in at all! (probably just me though  )
Also, a Honda Hornet 900 - fastest accelerating bike ever! Couldn't hold the throttle back for more than a couple of seconds. 0 - blur in just a few secs  Great to ride though Also, A Honda VTR1000 Firestorm - that 1000cc V-twin torque is just amazing stuff  |
my mate has an early r1(01 i think) and its a complete missile .i actually realised in a moment of clarity(notvery often)that i was way out my depth .in a straght line we can all go fast but its only when u try and slow downthat u realise how fast ur going ,.i thought (very mistakenly)that i could cope with the wheelies and power but i could only only hold the throttle full open for a few secs(in the higher gears) and you run out of road/**** yourself!awesome ...would take me ages (if i lived) to get used to that ,,,maybe when im a bit older(and realise that im actually pants on a bike) ,i want to live a long time and i honestly think i would get carried away(in both senses)
