Nice job Gary. :D

Re: Repairing crash damage
That's a good finish for spray cans! :)
I can never get a good finish painting |
Re: Repairing crash damage
It's all down to preparation really. Unfortunately, my prep wasn't as good as it could have been and neither is the finish when you look closely....

Re: Repairing crash damage
And it's all back together again. New indicator fitted, couple of coats of double acrylic primer and black on the end of the front brake lever (blended well with the anodising),washed, and sprayed with FS365. Forgot to do the bar end weight though! :-? That'll be a job for later this week.
http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a2...hrepairs19.jpg I shall find out whether or not I can operate the clutch with an injured thumb tomorrow..... |
Re: Repairing crash damage
Very good job that, good luck with the thumb.

Re: Repairing crash damage
Just had a quick trip into Welshpool and back. Kept it upright this time and nothing fell off. Thumb hurts when using the clutch though so no long rides for a little while. :(

Good job there mate :D

Re: Repairing crash damage
Thanks for the positive comments people. I have to say, it looks better in the photos than it does in the flesh. My SV is looking a tad battle scarred just now.

Re: Repairing crash damage
Last of the damaged bits replaced today. Nice new brake pedal with a spring loaded foldaway peg to replace my temporary repair to the old pedal.
