what i would do with the FOC or £5 loan bike, make it free and make people fill the tank to the top at the petrol station next door for the next guy, then people would only pay for what they use

All bikes either go out without fuel (like in your case) or with a fullish tank. Surely you cant expect to get the cost of the fuel FOC?? Most people are delighted at the fact they get a bike to get home on and not have to rely on a lift home! Our parts guys gets a company bike..if the fuel wasnt replaced it would be him out of pocket too!.

But since then we have decided the loan bikes are FOC. Although this does cost us alot and even though we thought £5 for the use of a bike (whether its an old bike is irelevant - it works!) to get home or to work was pretty good !.

Trouble is...even the best have a moment...its how its dealt with thats important. And sometimes you just cant please!

yes, got sorted after the 2nd visit. steve did a great job, very friendly and effiecient.

re the loan bike - i had to pay for fuel AND the hire. we're not talking a lot of money here, just the principal.

anyway, seems you have a good fan base so one "mixed" review ain't too bad really is it?

You could gp tp my local garage. Squeeze the blood out of the stone to get the loan bike, then collect yours later when they have failed to tighten the bolts that retain teh front caliper so it falls of the next day - nice and scary!

Yup well thats the plan but as the bikes get used by our own staff they go out with varying petrol in them...it never goes exactly to plan!!

I aint afraid to admit to not being perfect!!..its those that think they are that are a problem 8)

To be fair, the new parts guy is quite friendly too. I went there last Sat and got a bolt for my hugger installed free of charge. Thanks mate!
