Exactly, same as the diagram I have. So the black/white earth goes to the gear position switch, comes out of there to the relay as a blue wire, then the blue/black comes from the relay up to the neutral light, still earth.
The positive for the bulb will be wired inside the clocks or part of a circuit board.

Edit: Yup thats the exact diagram I was using.

Connect that blue/black to earth, light should illuminate. Simple.
If it does not your problem is within the light... probably that it is not getting power if you confirmed bulb works.

Sure I said this about 2 hours ago.

hmm ok then that i will try and run a lead strait from the battery to the bulb the problem i will then have is i need to mutilate the trail tech plugs because they force you to share ground and that wont work if you have to use a separate ground

That blue/black IS the ground for that fookin bulb

+ve terminal in battery
signal fuse
clocks
bulb for neutral light
blue black wire
relay
switch
black/white wire from switch
-ve on battery

That is order power follows.

the problem is YC if the blue/black is earth then i dont have a positive to give the bulb power unless i run the power from the ignition or battery

i get it lol

i will go and try it but still not sure where to get power from

Find a wiring diagram or instructions or something for clocks.

I am surprised if clocks do not have this built in as the majority of bikes use same neutral light system.
If they do not have it built in there MUST be a wire for it!

Take your old clocks to bits and see where it takes it from originally by working back, or just take a tap from the red/white or orange/green I think the colours are. They both seem to be ign positives.

Use "signal" fuse IIRC.
