Yes, I shall look after the route etc...

I think Stretchie has said he will attend in the SWS section thread... bit confusing with 3 threads going on now!
As for start time... not decided yet, would like to get a run at the planned route so I can get a rough time for its completion... plus there are several versions available.. plan on going to Aberystwyth via devils bridge etc.. then come back down the coast, and towards Lampeter to A40, stop at Llandovery.... its biking law, you must stop here if you are passing ;) then continue along A40 through twisties and back to where we came from really... those who are coming down from North wales for the day may be better off going from Llandovery tawards Builth.. saves carrying along the A40 further south at that point...

Oh yes. I am a YES. Camping, in a field, with a tent..

After memories of discussions with Vickster talking about caravans.. NU-uh.. I'm in a tent

If you want a marker mate I'll help out

I'll keep my eyes on this thread. Might turn up for the ride. Are daytrippers meant to meet you lot at the campsite?

Since I live on Anglesey, a quick sortee over Pen-y-pass down via Bedgellert to pickup the A470. Stay on that until Llanfilo and use the back roads to get to Llangrose & the campsite. Easy peasy, and no A40 involved.

Give me a time & I'll meet you folks at the campsite ready for off.

Xan173, only playing, hence the ":-dd" ;)

EDIT: In line with VB's comment about name, I'd go with Luckypants' suggestion of "Invasion of the valley's."

Re: AE 7.5 (or 7 1/2)

Hmm.. for ease I was going to suggest Abergavenny, as thats an easy place to get too... its not all that far from the campsite, but in the wrong direction of travel for those staying the nite.. and it makes the day a bit longer for those who are coming down from ooop north, but I suppose we can meet some at either Talgarth or Builth then... I want to show some of you lot the road between Crickhowell and Talgarth... and hope the traffic works have buggered off by then! tis a nice twisty road! but be warned.. bloke who lives at the end of that road is a moany bugger! had a go at me and Xan when we stopped on the road near his house!

Re: AE 7.5 (or 7 1/2)

If we do start at Abergavenny, I will need some help in ranging the distance of the entire ride... I dont think the AA and RAC website route planers like more than one via inserted...!

If planned route is too long, may have to scrub some of it out... head towards Aberystwyth the mountain road via Elan valley, but take the A44 back to teh A470 and back down to Builth etc from there.... will see what distances get thrown up first!
