with the crazy torques 110NM on these. I would not consider an aluminium nut

any suggestions then as my nut is rusted to hell and back and dont fancy wasting money on another nut that will rust, torque isnt that high on a curvy btw

It's not 110NM on the curvy.

I wouldn't bother, what's the point?

Yes only 65 for the curvy, should have looked at your avatar. Still I would not use an aluminium one even at that torque.

The only argument would be reduce unsprung weight, and weight saved is so minuscule that it would achieve sod all. if the one you have is so corroded, buy a new one.

Wire brush the original and wipe it over with WD40 or similar.

This will cost approximately 0.003675p - give or take.

Get a new one and have it chromed. It'll rust in the end but really, if it's that big a deal, don't ride it in the wet.

Buy a titanium one from Probolt/Tasty nuts. Just don't bother to get a coloured one as the colour will eventually polish away.

Includes the washer so you can bin that too.

Only a tenner (or it was when I bought mine) and you really can feel the difference. Honest ;)
