SV650S Pointy - Check on LCD random times while Riding
 

Hi All,

My pointy keeps saying check why riding, but its not all the time it comes and it goes... I have read a lot of posts and done the normal checks oil is fine, there is no errors in service mode, it doesn't cut out so ruled out the kick stand sensor and the kill switch sensor as it starts fine.

Any other suggestions? Its going in for a service and MOT in March but I want to resolve it myself before I ask someone else to take a look.

I believe the kickstand switch prevents starting but allows running.

Ah does it? I thought it cuts the engine if it detects it's slightly a jar. But I will shove it on the paddock stand and have a play.

CHEC is either the kill switch, sidestand switch or clutch switch..... more than likely the side stand switch.

Is it a K3-K5 pointy? There's anecdotal evidence that those year's machines would sometimes throw up random "chec" errors.

It's a 08 bike, I might see if I any of the connectors are loose or the stand switch is activating slightly. Other then that as per the other posts it rides fine.
