Except when wet... as they have a fabric cover which lets water through so the foam underneath soaks it up like a sponge.

My gel seat (07 pointy) has a plastic cover on it, so doesn't let water through, and is very comfy.

If you get out bid on this one (which is highly likely :rolleyes:)

Then get Tony Archer to put a gel pad in your own saddle. It'll probably work out much cheaper than a genuine saddle

He can even recover it. I'm going to send my OEM gel seat to be recovered in a non sponge like cover. The curvy ones are the worst for this, but it is much better than the standard plank :p

Several Northern folk will recommend his work & prices :p
