Clutch/gearbox issue?

I am having some issues with my clutch or gearbox and also the gear pedal. At the moment I am finding that when try to change down I have to release the clutch a small amount until I hear a click and then am
able to down shift.
This morning I also had the problem of the gear pedal not returning to it's resting place, I wud change up or down and it would stay there.

Any ideas on the problems?

Typical problem is the lever pivot needs cleaning and lubing. Try that first and see if it makes a difference.

I have the same problem with the ZX and was told to do the same.
