cant source paddock fork adapters
Hi, im needing to get my front wheel on the paddock stand, I do own a paddock stand however its the type that has pins that would insert into a hollow spindle. (e.g r6)
Where can i get the fork type adapters to go fit to my paddock stand? I have found the hook type, but i don't have bobbins, to put bobbins on my forks would i have to drill+ tap some holes as there are none on there!? Cheers, James |
Re: cant source paddock fork adapters
What make of front stand is it? I think whether you can get the adaptors would depend on that. I have an Oxford front stand that goes under the fork, it would work with any fork - think that's what you're after.
Btw for the front bobbins, I thought they screwed into the front spindle somehow? I can't imagine you'd have to drill/tap holes in your forks :? |
Re: cant source paddock fork adapters
Hi, I'm not sure what the make of it is as it was given to me by a retired biker, so i may have to ivest in one of those!
As for the bobbins - there are holes higher up (one of which i have my tax disc holder attached to) but i would assume these are too high up to get enough lift :s cant be screwed into the spindle though as its basically just a long screwed allen bolt. |
Re: cant source paddock fork adapters
Looking on the R&G web site it seems like they might supply a replacement spindle as part of the package. However they don't list fork protectors for the 650 (they had some for the 1000) so I assume that route is out...sounds like your best bet is a new paddock stand!
