neutral light does not work
Ok so neutral light does not work on the new dash (vapor dash) , the indicator lights work and all the other lights work on the dash like normal apart from the neutral light, i have checked the wiring from the clocks to the relay and no visible snags and it passes current using a multi meter so its not that bit of wiring.
it could be one of 3 things that has gone wrong, the flasher relay (as its called) might have blow even if the indicators still work (happen'd to some one on svrider site he grounded the wire by accident) the wire from the gear position sensor to the relay or the gear position sensor it's self has any one had a problem like this before ? and what do people thing the most likley cause is ? |
Re: neutral light does not work

ohh and to add when the bike is on and in neutral my multi meter does not pick up any voltage from the neutral wire (grounded to ground wire) |
Re: neutral light does not work
why not try reconnect the old neutral light and see if that works. if it dosnt then it must be the sensor!!!!
by the way im a noob so might be totally off the ball!!!!! |
Re: neutral light does not work
i could if they weren't in pieces (smashed in my off) and i think your along the right lines, and im pretty much coming to the conclusion that its the relay/diode

Re: neutral light does not work
You need 2 threads on same problem?
What happens when you ground wire to light? I would just bypass relay as matter of course before it c*cks up. |
Re: neutral light does not work
Why are you running the neutral light wiring through the indicator relay?
