Maxxis Supermaxx Sport Touring Tyres (MR6029)- anyone usd them?
Hi
Anyone had any experiences with this tyre? I did a search and they have been mentioned although nothing specific, or on this model. I know they are at the cheaper end of the scale. Anything not much dearer but loads better? What is a rough guideline price on fitting a pair, both for wheel in on its on or still attached to the bike? Thanks all Looking at http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Suzuki-SV650-M...item2ea9096b0d Ta |

Re: Maxxis Supermaxx Sport Touring Tyres (MR6029)
Good reviews overall - looks like Im getting a pair soon.
£10 per tyre off the bike seems to be mentioned so I'll keep that in mind. How much does it cost to fit them if I just ride the bike in? Much more, or neglible? I'd call my local but I have no phone access at the moment, lol. |

Has anyone, on another note, used the Maxxis Supersport tyres on an SV?

Re: Maxxis Supermaxx Sport Touring Tyres (MR6029)
if you fancy a ride to norwich Tinklers motorcycles sell maxxis and fit tyres to the bike for free last time i was there. THe quote for my old vrf750 was i think about 144 fitted!(front and back).
However that was in winter so may have changed. |
Re: Maxxis Supermaxx Sport Touring Tyres (MR6029)
I had a pair of the sports fitted on Monday morning (ride in). With nitro fill - £32
Bought a set from DK online... £132 delivered. Replaced a set of BT-021's. So far I'm very impressed. |
Re: Maxxis Supermaxx Sport Touring Tyres (MR6029)
Excellent!
Incidently I found a mobile service guy that does tyres as well £20 each for on bike, £10 if I take em off myself. Not bad for coming to my place to do it! |
Re: Maxxis Supermaxx Sport Touring Tyres (MR6029)
had a pair of these fitted for almost a year now, done 7k miles, use the bike for daily commute and fast road blasts, and the rear still has tons of tread.
trust them 100%, and do like to push the bike in the twisties, almost no chicken strips left. Id definately fit them again. Also for the sake of an extra £10-£20 ride in, it seems much easier to go that route, I cant be bothered with the time and agro removing the wheels. Lee |
