PS. this did happen a few days ago but when i lifted bike up it started working and worked since... cheers. |
Re: no power?
Oh I love these, give the bearest of information and a covering statement of "everything was ok and it just happened"
so it happened before, have you done the basics ? checked the 3 cutouts ?, checked the fuses, checked the know rub points on the loom ? might help if you followed the guidelines for asking tech questions and added a complete history/mods/actions taken. Cheers Mark. |

2004 sk3
Mods: lowers - tailtidy - hugger - front and rear mini indicators. fuses seem ok... these cutouts... clutch + side stand + kill switch? checked sidestand will have a ganders around... not very good at this stuff though.. |
Re: no power?
It'll be one of the following (or should be)
- loose connector - kill switch is 'on' - side stand cutout is in the 'on' posistion (therefore the bike is in gear) make sure you are in neutral - battery is on the way out, which sounds v likely from the info given |
Re: no power?
been hunting for loose connector.... cant really tell if bike is in neutral as the wholde dash doesnt work =(
anyway of telling if the battery is on its way out? |
Re: no power?
ok, bike in neutral (still same) indicator lights on dash work ( neutral light doesnt - main beam doesnt.... so im assuming FI and fuel arnt at this moment).

Re: no power?
the in gear test is to attempt to move it back and neutral free wheels
you've just partially answered your own question dead dash is 1 symptom. another is difficulty starting and cutting out when the alternator isn't under engine power Halfrauds will test your battery for free and tell you if its goosed |
