2001 Ignition barrel and key
 

Finding it harder and harder to turn the key for the steering lock and starting. Has anyone got an ignition barrel and key for an SV650s to sell? Thanks

Actually I do have a spare, although in all honesty it was swapped out for the same reason, it works but you have to rock the key forwards before you can turn it, Oh and it has two keys.

only kept it as a replacement for the wires should some scrote cut them,if you want it, let me know.

Do what I did and remove your ignition entirely! Replace it with a toggle switch under your rear pillon seat :) works a treat.

Search on the forum - when mine gets hard to turn I spray some WD40 into it to flush it, get the key turning and then add some oil to the lock (I use 3 in 1). Some will say not to do it as it wears the barrel, but hey - I can't remeber what they suggest using instead of oil.
