New Bridgestone BT023, now poor handling.
lookin for some help hear. had to get new front tyre for mot. I went for a Bridgeston battlax-023 ST. the bike has tanked slapped a few times and feels like it has no grip. i ran it in about 130 miles. been out 3 times and its happend more than once on all. been up and down the road plenty of times with old tyre and all was fine. i still have dunlop on back. anyone got any idea why it is doin this.

Re: new tyre
First thing I'd look at is the back tyre. If it's worn and the profile is squared off, you've effectively raised the front. Front and rear profiles should match within reason. Easy fix, buy a matching rear. Maybe.

should also say i have lowerd bike. but last 2000 miles wer fine and its more when i am accelerating.
also dont want to go buy a rear if i dont need to. back tyre is still in good nick |
Re: New Bridgestone BT023, now poor handling.
Check the tyre pressure on the front. May have been over filled. And whilst you are at it check the rear.
If all is okay then if you have lowered the back then consider dropping the fork through the yokes to get more weight on the front wheel. |
Re: New Bridgestone BT023, now poor handling.
Checked the pressure and both are correct, lowered the front by about 10mm

Re: New Bridgestone BT023, now poor handling.
under acceleration? surely thats the rears problem, as no power goes to the front.
I have 2 bridgestone Bt020's on my bike, cant say a bad thing about them, had pirellis on it before, the bridgestones are much better. |

Not run in? Pressures? New profile?

Is the front axle seated properly?
Loosen axle and pinch bolt(s) and retighten per specs. |
