Changing rear wheel bearings - easy?
hi,
how easy is it to change the rear wheel bearings, ive read the haynes manual and it seems simple but is it really that simple. As well do i replace them with standard ones or is there a upgrade for them?? Cheers David:D |
Re: Changing rear wheel bearings - easy?
it is simple just take care i would advise using a bearing supplier you will find them sooooo much cheaper than a bike dealer just take in the old bearing OR the Number off of the race and they will give you options but the OEM suppied Kyoto bearings £4 from my dealer.

Re: Changing rear wheel bearings - easy?
£60 is a good price as it can be a mare of a job especially if you don't have the tools. you are paying him for his knowledge and use of his tools as tools cost money. it's not just a case of bashing old ones out and bashing new ones in. you have to know which side goes in first and the correct pressure or the spacer will push the centre bearing race out to much and wear the bearings quicker.
