Re: hayabusa rear shock oil?
Look it up in the workshop manual... it should be in there.
Fair bet it is a 5W (16-18cSt) synthetic. I'd suggest Redline. |
Re: hayabusa rear shock oil?
i may be wrong but i don't think you can diy service a busa rear shock.
better getting someone to do it for you unless you have access to a nitrogen/needle and all the tools to take it apart. think its only about £100 to have one serviced. you could ask Y_C as i think he does them. |
Re: hayabusa rear shock oil?
you hardly need any special tools to take the shock apart. spring compressors maybe, but
you can do away with ratchet straps. and I think the busa shock has a schrader valve under the shiny cap, so releasing the nitrogen isn't a problem. after you're done with the rebuild, take it to a shop to have it filled. as for shock fluid, i've no idea what you have available locally, but you should look for the highest viscosity index (VI). Redline, slikolene pro rsf 2.5 or motul should be fine. |
