gsxr 400 gk76a starter/solenoid trouble.

just a quick one to see what peoples thoughts are,

got a gk76a, took it up the road for a spin before xmas and then put it away, we then had the really cold snowy weather and not it wont do anything,

the starter solenoid clicks then sounds like it spins inside?

i know the battery is low on power only 11v but even with a booster nothing at all.

could the cold of damaged something at all?

Fully charged battery, drain the carbs and clean fuel would be a good start.

Solenoid can't 'spin', it's a switch, it will go click if it's correctly connected and working. Solenoid is near battery and has two fat wires and two to four thin wires, (possibly in a single plug), going to it. Starter motor is on top of gearbox, beneath carbs.

Do you mean the starter motor makes a spinning noise? If yes, then it sounds like the starter clutch is slipping, or possibly the reduction gears are damaged.

Can you bump start the bike? Note; bump, not jump.
