Exhausts - What happened in 2003-2010?
Howdie
I'm after a new can for my 2010 Sport model and there seems to be differing opinions as to what exhausts fit? Some manufacturers list cans for 2033 and separate cans for 2004 onwards. Some list them as 2003-2009 and nothing for 2010 onwards?? Whats going on? What can I buy? Thanks K |

99 - 2002 Curvy
2003 first pointy, high subframe 2004- still pointy but with a lower subframe so I guess those saying a difference in 2003 and 2004 are really thinking about the hanger, pipework to keep things in line etc. |

hi
as far as im aware the were no differences between them ive used cans off a carby bike before now i think it may be just the link pipes supplied theres certainly plenty of choice out there cheers:D |

Ahh cool - so anything that's marked for use up to a 2009 should be cool for my 2010??

The 2010 bike is just when it was registered. I don't think Suzuki are still making SV's, just releasing old stock. So, yes 2009/2010 the same.

2003-2004 rear high subframe
2004-2007 rear low subframe 2007-present same as 2004> but with twin spark and lambda sensor so if you go full system you need bung for lambda. if you go slip on then same can/link pipe for 2003> basically if its a slip on then any can/link pipe from a pointy SV650 will do although i'm sure that the scorpion street extreme link pipe is different for the 2003 but i got mine from a 2003 to fit a 2008. word of warning: take the lambda probe out before you start cutting as they are delicate little things. don't be tempted to clean it either, just take out completely lay to one side and put back in when done. |
