Supporting bike with no forks?
 

I need to remove the forks on my naked curvy but I dont have access to a garage, I have an outside space dedicated for my parking is there anyway of removing them and keeping the bike where it is? HEELPPP

Is that on-street (or semi public car park)? My Curvey sat for a weekend (admittedly on my drive) with a the front forks off supported with a couple of bricks and bit of old skirting board under the sump. Survived a wheely bin incident with out any issues.
What is your concern?

No its an 'almost' private car park only the four residents including me use it there's plenty of space, seems a good idea! I'll be using your idea. Did you loosen up all the fork bolts before you jacked it up on bricks? My fork oil seals are leaking big time ..its even seized my front brakes!

With regard to the above header---
I no longer have an SV but I still have a set of stand I made up for this sort of maintenance. They are designed to sit under the crash bungs and ideal for any front end work or general work where you want the bike upright and can be used with a rear paddock stand to completely lift the bike off the ground.

Didn't need to no.
BTW if your stripping the forks don't forget to loosen the bottom bolt (the one holding the damper rod in place that you can't see when the axle is in) before removing the forks, you can loosen it later if you have a handy vice.

Yes,they are to heavy to take on the bike ,you will need a car but are welcome to them.

You've got the solution to your problem from DT

For future work buy an ABBA stand and this will be so useful for jobs on both ends of the bike, especially as you don't have a garage.

When using an ABBA stand on front end work, you just need something under the engine to stop it tipping forward

How has fork oil managed to seize your front brakes? Are you sure the calipers aren't simply corroded, as this is a common issue?
