Pointy lower fairing pictures?

Any one got some pictures of their bike showing where the lowers butt up against the nose fairing? Particularly around the front edge. I'm not convinced mine all lines up properly and I can for the life of me see how the c brackets on the radiator line up with the front mounting points as they don't come anywhere near matching up. Starting to wonder if something is bent somewhere.

Thanks, gives a good idea but do you have anything closer so I could see how the panels line up and what the gap looks like.

Found some via google image search. Let's me see how it should line up. Still don't see anyway of getting the radiator holes to line up with the front mount holes though.

The C bracket hole centers are off center to each other so you have to rotate the bracket until all holes/threads lin eup then tighten onto radiator before attaching to lower fairing.
Are you sure you don't have SV1000 lower fairings?

Thanks those pictures are great. I have no idea to be honest. The fairings came with the bike but were not on it when I bought it. How would I know? One of the c brackets look like yours and the other looks like its been all twisted to make it fit. I am pretty sure that the bike has been on its side at some point with some of the things I have found but the rad looks good and seems to be sitting in the correct place.

This is what I have. Managed to get the left side close to being lined up but appears to be missing the spacer that goes through the rubber grommet and needs a little bit of tweaking. It looks like the rad is a bit damaged and perhaps not sitting quite where it normally would.

Re: Pointy lower fairing pictures?

The fairings have that white tiger glue holding some sort of black foam stuff on the to edge. I am assuming this should be the double sided tape as per the instructions and the neoprene buffers (whatever they are) don't seem to be present.

Re: Pointy lower fairing pictures?

the bike has been crashed and the lowers have been fixed or new ones put on but the brackets have not been replaced. the bracket on the right is not even fixed in place. i would suspect that the main frame brackets have also been damaged as well and this is why everything is sitting squint.

where in scotland are you?
