screent trims

just noticed a lot of you have those screen trims on your bikes.

i used to have one on my gsx550 but the plastic coating after a while started to peel off do any of you have this problem???

The primary function of screen trim is to stop the screen shattering into sharp bits in front of you, in the event of a crash.
Much as I'd like to have smart looking trim (yes mine has flaked as well), I'd rather have it on lokking a bit messy than not at all.

Cheers Mark.

Yep, mine flaked too, I'll be replacing the screen at some point anyway but once I get the new one on and trimmed, i'll keep the new trim in better nick with touch-up paint or lacquer I think.

Ahh, I was wondering why people put those on, they looked a bit early-90's to me. The thought of getting a bit of jagged screen in the belly might make me re-think that :/
