Running SV without Exhaust / Midsection

Ok, so i've currently got the exhaust and mid section off. I'm very curious as to what it'd be like to start, would this damage anything?

Nothing on the bike? I'll record it :)

BigApe does not jest  . It is absolutely feckin' loud, so when you do it make sure other people close by (like those within a mile radius with heart problems) know about it.

Shouldn't cause any damage at all but would run rough if you wanted to ride it.

Certainly something you should experience at least once in your life ;).

Crap. Flat battery! I get i better buy a charger tomorrow :(

I lied. ************** that's loud. And sounds retarded.

I always thought is sounded a bit like a Harley when you take the can off and just run it from the pipe.

I got a couple of wav files if anyone is interested (before and after). Unfortunately i wimped out and cut the bike out almost straight away with no mid section and i only had the guts to try it again after i'd taken the laptop in. Still, gives a rough idea for anyone who's not heard it.

Imagine a spitfire on a very slow idle. Without any sort of exhaust.

Post the links (maybe make them MP3s)?

Will do once i've messed around with the files to trim the crap.

Greg, would you know anywhere locally where i can buy brackets for the exhaust? The ones on the current mid section are welded on so i can't use those. The best i found was hose clams in halfords and while they'd do the job they're hardly ideal.
