Hamicad tail tidy ......
.... will be fitting tommorrow.
Instructions reckon an hour - anyone validate this or have any other hints to avoid unforeseen pitfalls? Cheers |
You can do it in an hour, yes. The only properly fiddly bit is doing the bolts back up once you've got the hamicad back on; the undertray covers them so you have to flex it to get to them.

Got round to fitting it this morning.
Fairly Straight forward, instructions are pretty good, and no major fitting problems - apart from (right at the end) dropping the seat release cable bolt back into the seat cowl area and having to take it all off again - doh! I presume most people also change their number plate at the same time? as I had to drill two new holes to refit the stock one, and it (just) fits, so will probably get a slightly smaller one. What do people do about the rear reflector which I believe is needed for MOT? |
this is where i put mine used the std reflector, i made a metal bracket and bent it around so that it sits on top of the number plate light then i drilled a hole in the top of the light and secuered it with a m3 screw and nylock nut

the hardest thing i found was taking out the little black popper fittings which hold it together
