Mr Squid - can I claim my prize?
I'm 99% certain my RR overcharges, but only when its hot, which has made the diagnostics chalenging
RR checks out OK as per the Electrex check sheet Battery checked out OK by Halfords on their digital thingy Charge rate still climbs if I leave the engine idling for long enough (shows 12v with lights on but 15.9v with them off) I've 'ad enuff! It's going to get a Ho*da/Kwak RR and like it In one of your many (& excelent) posts you refer to the tied back 2 pin connector near the RR. Can one of these terminals be used for the reference voltage, or do I need to go somewhere like the brake light switch supply lead Cheers Tris |
Hallelujah!
The firstest ever SV that overcharges, yippeee!!! Back to the point: The two pin connector I have referred to in that area has a loopback on it and is used for a starter lockout that, (I think), Brit/Euro bikes don't have, you can make use of it when fitting an alarm/immobiliser, well... if that's the one we're both, (possibly), thinking of. You can connect the 'extra' wire on a six wire reg/rec to the live feed to the rear brake light switch. |
Cheers Mate
