Cleaning 'soft' plastics

Anyone have a good way to clean up 'soft' plastics that have been scratched. For instance, the tail lights on my pointy SV have got a bit scratched up and I'd like to polish them up a bit. :-k

All ideas gratefully received!

Thanks - had a look around for G3 but it seems to be sold as a paint rub-down compound rather than plastics. Would it be too course for plastics?

i use it on the car and it works fine dunno about bikes tho? i wouldnt want to put anything on the bike bodywork which may make it look worse. try it on a spot you cant see first.

Various plastic polishes here

I haven't had anything from them, mind.

I understand the Plexus polish is supposed to be good, also available from

Arm & Hammer toothpaste, the sort with baking soda. It's an incredibly fine abrasive... Often recommended, but I've never tried it myself.

Hi, does anyone know if orginal Suzuki body plastics are made from coloured bead (ie. does the colour go right through) or are they painted?
