Golf: new terminology

I was listening to the commentary from The Open a week or two ago and heard this new reference to a putt of awkward length.

It sees as though the golfing fraternity use the term "A Dennis Wise" to refer to "a nasty little five footer"

Well, it made me laugh

I read somewhere that Alex Ferguson said that Dennis Wise:

'Could start a fight in an empty house'

I kind of hoped this would turn into a thread about little known but humorous golfing sayings. Instead, we have a thread about Dennis Wise

My fault

Kate Winslett : a bit fat, but otherwise perfect

Rodney King : over-clubbed

Princess Di : shouldn't have taken the driver

O.J. : somehow got away with it

Kathy Freeman : ugly but a good runner

Kate Moss : a bit thin.

Putting

Dennis Wise : a nasty 5 footer

Salman Rushdie : an impossible read

Rock Hudson : thought it was straight but it wasn't

Brazilian : just shaved the hole.

G*lf's great..one of the few times that you can "drop one" no matter the company you are in and not be frowned upon! :P

For those non golfers...Drop one means to score 1 shot more than the par for the whole being played.

But to school boys like me it also means something else! (Fnaaaarp!)
