changing spark plugs
 

my bike developed the surging /one plug firing after a recent wet outing ,,so i was going to change the plugs anyway and thought this'll b an ideal time ,,,so you know the drill ,,couldnt get the tool in prop(oerr)so off comes the fairing ,,nope still no joy ,so loosened the rad off and moved it back a bit nope not enough room ,,so disconnected the hoses (in the process emptying the contents all over the place) and moved it right out the way ahhh thats btr more room now ...the f!"£"$ing spark plug key didnt fit!it was the wrong one!!barsteward !!so put all the bits back and never even changed the plugs ,and had to refill the rad ...so now i dont know if theres enough coolant in the bike AND the same spark plugs that i started with,,aarrgghh :lol:

Much easier with a naked IL4 :thumbsup:

The one with the toolkit in the bike will fit...

vb ,,it was the one in the toolkit i tried but it deffo doesnt fit (i tried it on the new ones and its too small)maybe somebody put the wrong one in the kit ,it'll fit something else but not an sv ,oh well ](*,)

or you've got the wrong size plugs fitted - hence your problem :?

It's fairly easy with the right tool ;) Assuming the new ones are CR8 or 9E?

There are two bits in the tool kit that look like they take the spark plug off, its the larger one with a opening gap of at least 1.4cm and it will be a hinged tool.

i havent got that then ive got what looks like a long socket with the wrong size ends for my plugs and yes northy theyr the right ones i might b looking to buy one as im goosed ,the bike is ok and running but if i ever really need to change them im in trouble 8)

You should be able to blag one off someone else easy enough... Thing is, most of the plug tools you can buy in the shops need loads of effort to get to the front spark- the Suzuki one, you can do just by shifting the radiator a little. Worth having... In fact, it and the c-spanner are the only bits in the kit that aren't just crap IMO.

so,,,,get the suzuki spark plug tool ,,,,,is that what ure saying ???if so any idea how much roughly this and can u just buy that itself ??all i really need is that and the c spanner 8)
