Need to borrow a Power Commander

Is anyone near Manchester on Nottingham that I could borrow their PC to upload a map on my bike please?

That's all I need to do really to get a bit more out of the SV:) (do correct me if i'm wrong)

cheers

Re: Need to borrow a Power Commander

The Power Commander plugs in-line with the Fuel injection and TPS. So if you want to make a bit of a difference, it has to stay on the bike. It is a separate unit to the Suzuki ECU.
In other words the PC only alters the ECU original signals. So using one temporarily to upload a different map, won't work. Sorry!:(

Power Commanders allow adjustment of fuelling to suit the bikes engine tuning/can/filters etc. Dynojet also sell modules that allow you to alter the ignition timing, energise relays and also has quickshifter capability. It helped smooth things out a bit, but not really a great deal. I had mine set up on the dyno as I thought it was best.

They are user adjustable as standard, you can upload (from your computer)various maps from Dynojets website. Or as mentioned before, you can get someone who knows what they are doing to help!:)

As stated the PC is an output modifier (only modifies the ecu output.) so once removed the ECU output becomes unmodified, you're thinking of a re-map, for this you'll need a Yoshi box or tuneboy (several others as well) which write directly to the ECU.

Cheers Mark.

I stand corrected - sorry peeps misunderstood the use of a PC

I obviously meant sthing that would write perm on the ECU :)

Ask around your local bike shops for someone with a DynoJet that has an air/fuel rig on it and can do Yoshi mapping. I know there's a place in Bradford.

Also, check here for a list of DynoJet tuning centres in Manchester.

SV650Racer said that they charge £25 for it doing on an SV, but they're the wrong side of the M25!!
