Default Northie's gloop

The gloop Northie suggested for the front ign plug cap seal worked perfectly during our recent Euro tour. Had a good testing too - Rode in rain for most of the 2000+miles we did, including day long drizzle in Central massif and huge storms over Pyrenees. The SV didn't falter once.

His special sauce that he has to 'deliver' personally

The grease you need is part number RE90X, Maplins website shows an aerosol but it's a tube.

Silicon grease be the stuff.

I put rubber grease on mine because I had nothing else and it worked alright.

Lithium grease also works quite nicely.

+1. Lithium grease on mine held up even during river crossings.
