Default Gear lever/boot wear.

Well i seem to have come up with a problem....

The gear lever on my pointy bit the dust last year and so i replaced it with one of the ones thats on ebay (the metal tipped ones that fold back) not a bad little lever apart from the fact that it appears to have eaten through the rubber sole on my boot. Whenever i wear trainers it starts to go through them over time aswell. Tad annoying obviously.

Im looking at getting some new boots this year and i dont want the sole eaten through after a couple of months of riding.
There is, after searching, rubber tipped gear levers but they appear to be for curvys. Will they still fit and work like they should on a pointy?

Cheers in advance

pushbike innertube and 2 cable ties rubber coat the one you've got.

Regarding the curvy/pointy compatbility I have no idea.

Happy to be of no help

I kno which levers you mean. Got one on my curvy.

I'm thinking of using rubber if it gets any worse with the boots.

Simpler than all of those. Chuck a could of layers of insulating tape around it. Job done.

The shiney metal ones on ebay look tacky as f*ck anyway, covering the end of it will be an improvement
