Hi, just got some restrictors for my son's 2002 SV 650s. They are the Suzuki slide type. Having read previous posts, most people seem to fit the washers. I saw on the thread the washers are 44mm OD and 13mm ID, can anyone confirm this? and what thickness are they. I have a lathe and could easily make some if they will do the job.
Any hints on what to watch out for fitting the slides. Many thanks. |

Probably more down to accuracy of measuring and FI int.s tolerances than them needing to be exactly that. Maybe it's a 1 3/4 bar with a skim off it to make the od...

Just to clarify; you've got the slides already, yes? If so why not just use them?
Or perhaps I'm missing something - not unusual!

some posts really have me scratching my head! I have slides and i can confirm they work perfectly and dyno under 33bhp. Aren't they the official Suzuki method too? Hints: If you buy one of these you can do the job without removing the carbs. Undo the radiator pivoting bolt on use it through there. ![]() When taking out the needles there is a little springs that will likely try make a break for it. Yes I have been promised the slides and hope they will arrive soon, just hedging my bets in case they are not in good condition, also its good to widen my knowledge on the options available. I will also measure the slides if/when I receive them and make a note of the size and position of the holes, As there is just one small hole in each, this may help someone else.

Aye but if you drill a stock set of slides then you drop yourself in the sh*t when it comes to removing the restriction
