Default Curvy Ignition Fuse Blowing - Carb Heaters.

Firstly, thanks to all the contributors who've helped in the past with various issues on my SV, (Naked Curvy 20002). Much appreciated.
I've had a spate of ignition fuses blowing, after a mile or so. After reading the forum I irrationally decided to change the Starter Relay as this seemed to be a common cause...Nope. Then I found the often quoted loom chafing under the tail section left hand side, stripped it back, re-covered with tape. Ahhh! Still blowing. Now blowing as soon as ignition key switched on. So after a long session with the Multi-meter I found that the wiring to the Carb heaters has a full earth. The connector for this is found under the Fuel Tank, right hand side. It has two wires, Orange with yellow banding & Black with white banding. Disconnected the thing and hey presto! All ok now, not sure if the carb heaters perform much of a function as the ride to work this morning was bloody cold, -2, although it's only a 10 mile commute. Soon see I guess.

Nah be reet. They are meant to stop carb icing but not too effective. I ran without them for ages.

If you get carb ice (some do some don't, no rhyme or reason), you are better off dosing the fuel with a bit of isopropanol.

I didnt even know the sv had carb heaters! Last time I saw one of those was on my 89' vw polo carb! It was removed when I fitted a K&N stack and still starts fine.
