Which engine oil - SV650.org

Could somebody please confirm which engine oil do i put in, i think it's semi synthetic but am not 100%

It's completely up to you really. I use semi-synthetic as part of the Hein Gericke £25 deal. It's common thinking that fully synthetic isn't really necessary on a road use SV.

My dad (mechanic) sticks in semi-synthetic into my bike. I can ask what he uses if you like?

You can write loads on this topic and many will - but basically you cant go wrong with a decent quality (Castrol GP) 10-40W semi-synthetic.

the HG stuff is motul 5100 semi, ive always used it and never had any probs.

what is the viscosity needed for our SV's?

I'm gonna pop by Hein's tomorrow and get some on that deal.

i do mine about every 2-3k but i think thats abit OTT.
