I have tried everything. I am now using a fog city and a foggy mask and still my visor fogs up. Can anyone recomend a product that will stop the visor fogging up.

Cheers in advance

I've been using a foggy for about 6 years now, and never had a problem, in fact I'd go further and say if fitted properly your breath can't reach the visor, so won't cause misting.

Cheers Mark.

Best bet is to relax. The calmer you are, the lighter your breathing so the less likely to fog up. So basically, just chill out and most of the problem goes away.

Then breath guards, fog city etc for the remaining fog.

I use Bob heath spray and a fog mask that came with my HJC, assume it's similar to a foggy. They Bob Heath stuff is brilliant, I never get fogging. It does need applying at least once a week, but its very easy to use.

Foggy mask if fitted properly as Rictus say should stop most of it. if you couple that with either a fog city insert or my persnoal favourite a Pinlock insert then you'll never have another fogging problem ever.

IMHO

My instructor told me a trick to stop your visor fogging, and it works.
Get some washing up liquid (not the real cheap stuff) and squeeze a small amount on your visor and polish it in until it’s clear, takes about 5mins till it goes clear but it works. Also if you do it to the outside of your visor rainwater runs off better.

I've been doing this a while now and works a treat. You can tell it works, cause, if you do it on half the visor, then breath on it, only the half you haven't done is fogged up. All good.

+1 on the lightly applied fairy liquid once a month or so. Don't use more than a drop though, or you'll have a totally different problem.

I'm a fan of making do with whats under the sink

The reason not to use the El Cheapo brands is that some them contain salt, which turns your nice soft cloth into a makeshift (but very effective) sanding device. You dont want that.

When it begins to fog up a bit, its time to do it again.

I've yet to find something good to make the water drops trickle backwards at speed on the outside though, I think it needs to be silicone or wax based. Might try some beeswax or something next.

Its all very exciting.

Try going to a local sports shop and by some anti mist goggle spray. My sister is a competative swimmer and i borrowed some a few months ago. It is amazing ! seems to be a lot strnger than standard bike products.

Worth a go!
